The LED lighting slightly leaks through the air vent holes on the back of the set. This LG TV is still displaying an outstanding picture but I'm not much a fan of LED TVs. I prefer my older Samy 650 LCD only model in my TV room. This TV was assembled in March 2011 and sold to me by Amazon in April 2011. Amazon seems to change the price up and down on this TV nearly everyday. The LG shipping box goes to trashman today because I'm keeping my baby.
Picture quality is great. This is a matt screen and that's a big plus for me. Speakers/audio is acceptable. That's where it stops. The Smart TV and other features which were the main draw for me, are unsatisfactory and poorly executed.

My ReviewsI was looking for a monitor for my mac mini- this 32" at this price point with 1080P capability and the ability to use as a tv as well really fills the bill. Picture works well as a monitor and very good as a TV as well.
Seems hard to find 1080P LCD monitor without jumping into 40" and a lot more money. Considered plasma, but wanted to avoid any buzzing monitors on the desktop, Considered 24" monitor only, but the additional
cost to upgrade to this unit to get the tv capability was worth it. Great bang for the buck here.
All in al, for the $350 dollars I bought it for on on another site, this is a steal. This TV has all the features of much more expensive TVs from other manufacturers. Even at the $390 or so it sells for on Amazon, this would be a great TV. It would be comparable to a lot of $450 TVs, but might miss out on some of the more extravagant features of the high end Sonys, and such (no light sensor to automatically adjust image settings for you, but I don't really need that).

Panasonic TC-32LX85 32-Inch 720p LCD HDTV

The sound on this t.v. is also good. I thought I had my surround sound speakers on when using the t.v. but I actually was using the t.v. speakers and yes they were that loud at a low volume setting. So here is how I sum it up:

VIDEO: 10 out of 10
I have not yet been disappointed with the SD or HD picture of this t.v. Whites are white, blacks are black.

AUDIO: 10 out of 10
If something ever happened to my surround sound speakers, I wouldn't care because it will be like they never broke.

INPUTS: 9 out of 10
It's nice that they're 3 HDMI inputs but I wish there was a second component input. But since everything is going HDMI these days, this is not a problem.

PRICE: 10 out of 10
I've seen this t.v. going for up to $899 but I bought it for $699. What a steal at this price.

OVERALL: 10 out of 10
Finally I have found the t.v. that I have been looking for all this time. I had to wait until 2008 to get it, but it was definitely worth the wait. If you have been waiting to get an HDTV, then now is the time to get it. You won't be disappointed.
